ArcelorMittal with latest developments at Blechexpo

ArcelorMittal is present at the Blechexpo in Stuttgart from 5 to 8 November 2013. Blechexpo together with Schweisstec takes place in the state trade fair centre in Stuttgart (Landesmesse Stuttgart) and is the only event in the world that deals with the complementary technologies of sheet metal processing and joining technology.

ArcelorMittal is present with their business areas Flat Carbon Europe and Distribution Solutions at a common stand in hall 5. This proves the company's efficient and customer oriented approach to serve the supply chain from production to distribution concepts. It is crucial for ArcelorMittal to supply their customers with state-of-the-art products adapted for their specific needs. "Customer service and product excellence are a key element of ArcelorMittal's industrial strategy" declares Rainer Böse, Managing Director of ArcelorMittal FCE Germany GmbH.

The Distribution Solutions business offers steel products and solutions with design and technical support in more than 30 countries. A tight network in Germany of 23 service and distribution centers fully supports this approach in cooperation with the group's production facilities in the European region. ArcelorMittal is present in a variety of customer industries, including automotive, construction, household appliances, public works, civil engineering and general industry. "Our distribution arm allows us to provide customised steel solutions to meet specific customer requirements. This is key for speed in supply and delivery reliability combined with an excellent product and technical service", adds Patrick Meessen, CEO of ArcelorMittal Distribution Solutions in Germany and Switzerland.

Among other products ArcelorMittal highlights Optigal™, a new coating line for the construction sector, whose special properties increase the performance and anti-corrosion characteristics. It has improved aesthetics and, using half as much zinc as is normally required, it is good for the environment, too.

Magnelis® (zinc-aluminium-magnesium) is another product which demonstrates an exceptional surface protection and offers self-healing on cut edges against corrosion. Our organic coated products for both outdoor and indoor use (such as the xcelcoat® range) will also be presented at the fair. These products belong to the Nature collection, which is Nspired by Nature, and are delivered with coatings and surface treatments free of hexavalent chromium and heavy metals.

Amstrong™ offers a full range of high strength and ultra high strength steels, which are available in thermomechanically hot rolled, cold formable grades. One of the most outstanding features of the Amstrong™ range is its dimensional feasibility, enabling to achieve a higher efficiency in the conception of parts and a higher productivity in their realisation.
